Fire Extinguisher Inspection & Annual Service
On-site commercial fire extinguisher inspection, annual maintenance, certification, and tagging for restaurants, offices, retail spaces, schools, property-managed buildings, warehouses, and other businesses across Southern California.
Annual fire extinguisher service for businesses
A fire extinguisher can look fine from across the room and still need service. Annual maintenance is the point where a qualified technician examines the unit closely, checks its service history and condition, and determines whether it can remain in service or needs recharge, internal maintenance, hydrostatic testing, repair, or replacement.
Xclusive Fire Protection provides commercial fire extinguisher inspection and annual service as part of our core fire-protection work. We service ABC extinguishers used throughout commercial properties and Class K extinguishers for restaurants and commercial kitchens.
What we check during extinguisher service
- Overall cylinder and extinguisher condition
- Pressure or charge status where applicable
- Hose, nozzle, handle, pin, seal, and tamper indicator condition
- Legibility of operating instructions and required labeling
- Mounting, accessibility, and obvious physical damage
- Previous service dates and required maintenance intervals
- Signs of discharge, leakage, corrosion, damage, or other deficiencies
- Whether recharge, internal maintenance, hydrostatic testing, repair, or replacement is due
- Service tagging and documentation when the unit qualifies to remain in service
Inspection is more than putting on a new tag
A service tag should reflect an extinguisher that was actually evaluated. If a unit is discharged, damaged, out of pressure, overdue for required maintenance, or otherwise not ready for service, the right answer is to correct the condition — not simply tag it.
If recharge is needed, see our fire extinguisher recharge service. If cylinder pressure testing is due, see fire extinguisher hydrostatic testing.
Restaurants and commercial kitchens
Restaurants often have more than one extinguisher type. ABC extinguishers may protect general building hazards while a Class K extinguisher is used for commercial cooking hazards involving hot cooking oils and fats. We can service portable extinguishers during the same visit as your commercial kitchen fire suppression system when practical.
Commercial properties we service
We work with restaurants, food-service businesses, offices, retail stores, schools, apartment and commercial property managers, warehouses, industrial facilities, and other businesses that need dependable extinguisher maintenance. For multiple locations, we can help keep service consistent from site to site.
Fire extinguisher inspection service areas
We provide commercial fire extinguisher inspection and annual service throughout Los Angeles County, the San Fernando Valley, the San Gabriel Valley, Ventura County, and Orange County.
