Fire Extinguisher Recharge Service
Commercial fire extinguisher recharge after use, discharge, or loss of charge. We inspect the extinguisher first, determine what service is actually required, and return eligible units to service with the appropriate maintenance and documentation.
Used or low-pressure extinguisher? Have it serviced before putting it back
A portable extinguisher is a life-safety device. If it has been discharged — even briefly — or is showing a loss of pressure, it should be evaluated before anyone relies on it again. Xclusive Fire Protection provides commercial fire extinguisher recharge service for businesses throughout our Southern California service area.
Recharge is not just filling an extinguisher. We first inspect the unit and determine whether it is serviceable, whether required maintenance or hydrostatic testing is due, and whether replacement would be safer or more practical.
When fire extinguisher recharge may be needed
- The extinguisher was discharged during a fire or emergency
- The extinguisher was used briefly or accidentally
- The pressure indicator is outside the normal operating range
- The seal or tamper indicator shows the unit may have been operated
- A service inspection identifies a rechargeable condition
- An applicable extinguisher has been opened for required maintenance and must be properly restored to service
Recharge vs. replacement
Not every extinguisher should be recharged. A damaged cylinder, severe corrosion, an obsolete or non-serviceable design, failed testing, missing parts, or poor economics can make replacement the better choice. We evaluate the actual unit instead of assuming recharge is always the answer.
If the extinguisher is overdue for pressure testing, we can address that through our fire extinguisher hydrostatic testing service. For routine annual maintenance, see fire extinguisher inspection and annual service.
ABC and Class K fire extinguisher service
We service common commercial ABC extinguishers and applicable Class K extinguishers used in restaurants and commercial kitchens. Class K units require service appropriate to their wet-chemical design and manufacturer requirements. For restaurant-specific service, visit our Class K fire extinguisher service and sales page.
On-site commercial extinguisher service
We work with restaurants, offices, retail businesses, schools, warehouses, property managers, and other commercial facilities. When several extinguishers are due at the same location, we can inspect the group and identify which units simply need annual service and which need recharge, testing, maintenance, or replacement.
Fire extinguisher recharge service areas
Service is available throughout Los Angeles County, the San Fernando Valley, the San Gabriel Valley, Ventura County, and Orange County. See our complete Fire Extinguisher Services for the full program.
