New kitchen hood fire suppression nozzle and piping installation

When you need a new system

A new suppression system may be needed when you are opening a new restaurant, remodeling a kitchen, replacing an older system that can no longer be serviced, or adding a cooking line that requires its own protection.

What installation includes

  • Assessment of your cooking line and hood layout
  • System design with correct nozzle placement and coverage
  • Agent cylinder placement and mounting
  • Piping, link lines, and control cable installation
  • Gas valve shut-off integration
  • System testing and certification
  • Documentation and tagging

Designed for your kitchen

Every kitchen is different. Nozzle count and placement depend on the appliances under the hood — fryers, ranges, griddles, charbroilers, and wok stations each need specific coverage. We design the system around your actual cooking line so the protection matches the hazard.

Replacing an older system

When an existing restaurant hood suppression system is outdated, no longer serviceable, or does not match the current cooking line, we can evaluate whether replacement with a current listed wet-chemical system is appropriate. See our UL 300 fire suppression upgrade service for the evaluation and upgrade process.

After installation

Once your system is installed and certified, we can handle the ongoing semi-annual inspections and service to keep it compliant. See our inspection and certification service.
